Aside from making sure your feet are clean before your wear your shoes, you can also stop the odor by sprinkling your feet and your shoes with bicarbonate of soda. Ingrown toenails often form due to an abnormality in the anatomy of the toe and nail, a condition which is usually inherited.

It is sometimes necessary for some to wear orthotics, which is a type of insert for the shoe, in a bid to eleviate the pain. In order for the orthotics to work properly, It is vital for them to provide sufficient support of the orthoses.
